The Young Investigators Training Programme (YITP) gives you the opportunity to get in touch with the experts participating in FENS.
Do you want to carry out a short research stay in one of the leading Spanish Neuroscience Institutions before or after the FENS forum?
We are offering more than 90 stages in laboratories located in Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Basque Country, Valencia, Sevilla and Salamanca among others. Labs joining the programme include a variety of neuroscience interests, from molecular and cellular neuroscience to cognitive neuroscience.
The stays are open for PhD students and young postdoctoral fellows (Age limit: 35 years), deadline for application: February 5, 2012.

The International Society for Neurochemistry, in collaboration with the Spanish Glial Network, offers a school in New Approaches in Glial Cell Research, covering new methodologies for the study of glial cells, and recent advancements in glial cell function in development, synaptic function, and CNS pathologies. The School is open for young scientists (PhD students and young postdoctoral fellows up to 4 years after PhD). Up to 40 students will be selected from all applications. Successful applicants will have free access to the School including accommodation. A limited number of travel grants will also be available. Deadline for application: February 5, 2012.

Experts will describe their research techniques and accomplishments in a personal context/informal environment that offers participants a behind-the-scenes look at factors influencing the expert's work. Each 90-minute session offers an opportunity for students and postdoctoral researchers to engage the expert in an informal dialogue over lunch. No registration is required, but seating is limited to a maximum of 25/30 people per session.
